The City of Vienna welcomes you
A message from Executive City Councillor Barbara Novak.
Wilkommen in Wien! Welcome to Vienna!
As a regional business metropolis, Vienna benefits from the presence of the many international corporations that have established themselves here with their qualified professionals, contributing to the city’s dynamic economic growth and adding to its international appeal.
Vienna is among the European cities leading the charge in tackling major transnational issues of our time: limiting and preparing for climate change, driving progress in life sciences, ensuring that digitalisation and artificial intelligence are developed in a way that serves all human needs, and making sure that urbanisation continues to lift living standards. Vienna is a forerunner – creative and thoughtful – in all of these areas.
“We welcome with open arms international companies, startups and qualified professionals who believe in this mission and embrace the spirit of Vienna.”
Vienna faces the future with openness, curiosity, and a dose of Viennese charm. It’s an honour, as City Councillor, to play such an active role in shaping a brighter future for each inhabitant here.
The people of Vienna remain at the heart of all the city’s undertakings. Policy and strategy must remain guided by this key principle: to maintain and build upon the high quality of life for which Vienna is famous. To that end, we welcome with open arms international companies, startups and qualified professionals who believe in this mission and embrace the spirit of Vienna.
Barbara Novak, Executive City Councillor of Finance, Business, Labour, International Affairs and Digital Innovation.
