Welcome to Vienna for the first TRAM World Championship!

On September 13, 2025, Wiener Linien will host the world's top tram drivers in the Austrian capital for the inaugural Tramdriver World Championship. 

This year, Wiener Linien is organizing the first Tramdriver World Championship, the official world championship for tram drivers, in Vienna. For the first time, teams from outside Europe will also be able to participate.

From target braking to TRAM bowling and TRAM curling, who will master the challenges and claim the top spot? Expect impressive maneuvers, tight teamwork, and a fantastic atmosphere – all with free admission!

Each of the 25 international teams—made up of one male and one female driver—must take on eight unique and demanding disciplines. The objective? Earn as many points as possible in each challenge to climb the leaderboard. But it’s not just about precision—speed matters too. The total time to complete all disciplines is recorded, with faster teams earning valuable bonus points.
