The European Summer School on Artificial Intelligence

European Summer School on Artificial Intelligence (ESSAI) intends to serve as a central hub for PhD students and young researchers working in all aspects of AI. ESSAI, the largest school of broad AI in Europe, will offer courses and tutorials in wide areas of Artificial Intelligence and from a wide range of perspectives. They will be given by leading AI researchers and we expect to welcome around 400 students with diverse backgrounds, who can choose courses from parallel tracks in order to deepen their understanding of familiar AI disciplines, dive into new ones, and discover new interdisciplinary research areas combining different AI approaches.

ESSAI provides introductory and advanced courses in all areas of AI, emphasizing topics that allow students to gain a broad view of AI and understand connections between subdisciplines.

Vienna will host the 4th edition of ESSAI, which has been held yearly since 2023 and organized by the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI).
