“PALAIS FREILUFT” will launch a multi-month open-air event in the garden of the Palais Auersperg, combining contemporary art, culinary delights, and a diverse program of activities under the open sky. From June 3 to early September 2026, the historic green space in Vienna’s 8th district will become a publicly accessible meeting place for culture, gastronomy, and leisure activities.
In addition to the “FREILUFT Sculpture & Art Garden” featuring works by contemporary artists, the event focuses primarily on a deliberately broad program. Artist talks, yoga and Pilates sessions, art workshops, salsa classes, daytime parties, pop-up markets, tastings, World Cup soccer broadcasts, and regular community events are designed to attract diverse audiences to the palace garden.
