Community-Event: Spill The Tea
Take part in the final event at the Biofabrique Vienna hall at Nordwestbahnhof!
This participatory event builds on Some Place Studio’s ongoing research into social wellbeing and invites participants to experience, one last time together, the industrial hall at Nordwestbahnhof – currently being used on a temporary basis by Biofabrique Vienna – before its demolition.
Through the active participation of visitors, a temporary room divider is created within the hall using repurposed materials. The selected fabrics are attached to a system of suspended ropes, creating a constantly changing, collaboratively designed space as the event progresses. Through this collaborative installation, the open hall is transformed into a sheltered area, which is used for a tea ceremony featuring herbs from the former Danube floodplains. The space thus becomes a place for encounter, exchange and shared experience, where visitors can participate and help shape the event. The materials used are subsequently taken away by the participants, reused and placed in new contexts. In this way, sustainability and circular thinking become an integral part of the event and can be experienced as essential aspects of social wellbeing.
The event is free of charge. Registration is requested.
