Austrian World Summit
The Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative
The Austrian World Summit aims to offer a broad platform for concrete solutions and successful ideas that motivate and act as role models as well as connect people, businesses and climate leaders. Launched by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monika Langthaler in 2017, it has grown to be one of the largest climate conferences in the world with millions of viewers from around the globe. Nearly 4500 guests from over 100 countries have been inspired by around 300 speakers from politics, business, science and civil society.
Now in its ninth year, the event is organized by the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative and held under the patronage of Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen. This year, AWS 2025 will shine a spotlight on first responders—the unsung heroes who tirelessly battle climate-related disasters on the frontlines.
The Summit serves as the leading international “Matchmaker for Green Solutions” by presenting successful policies, best practice projects, and examples of cooperation and innovative solutions.
